Starting jAgent as a Service
This section helps you to start jAgent as a service on Windows and Unix platforms. You can start jAgent as a service. The service options allow you to install and start the jAgent as a Win32 Service on Windows platforms and as a daemon on Unix platforms.
Using jbase_agenet utility:
jbase_agent install [-n <Service Name>] [-m <working directory>] <options> jbase_agent start [-n <Service Name>] jbase_agent stop [-n <Service Name>] jbase_agent remove [-n <Service Name>]
Using jBASE_jServControl utility:
jServControl install jServControl start jServControl stop jServControl remove jServControl status
NOTE: jAgent Win32 services send logger messages to the Windows Event Log. Changing the tracing level (–L option) is not applicable to a jAgent service and the system logs only error messages.
jbase_agent start <options> jbase_agent stop
