Overview

This section provides a brief overview to the DLM Full Solution process and an illustration to show the Temenos Transact database with and without DLM Full Solution process.

The full solution process involves the following steps.

  1. Aged data is moved from the Temenos Transact LIVE database to monthly partitioned tables in the DLM DB
  2. Moved data is compared with the original data for consistency
  3. Original data is deleted or purged from the Temenos Transact LIVE database.

After the data is purged, the Temenos Transact LIVE database shrinks in size and is left with free space to collect data generated by new transactions. The whole process can be automated by the bank.

Post initial separation, the bank can automate on-going lifecycle management for data generated by new transactions using a copy and purge service.

The following illustration shows the Temenos Transact database with and without DLM Full Solution process.
