Introduction

Temenos Analytics’ Content Packs are portfolios of analytics measures (contents) for banks and financial institutions that provide insights to senior management and other personnel in operations. These Content Packs are available for Retail Banking, Financial Analytics, Corporate Banking and Wealth Management within the Advanced Analytics Platform or the Reporting Platform.

This document provides a catalogue for the contents within the Retail Analytics Content pack that can be added to the Base version of the Analytics application within the Advanced Analytics Platform and is compatible with all other content packs. The Retail Analytics Content Pack is designed for financial institution offering Retail Banking services and looking into the possibility to make their business more efficient and profitable. The tools within the pack measure the performances and derive insights from Retail-related business data – specifically these tools consist of:

  • Information Tiles: used to highlights business metrics through various types of charts and visuals

  • KPIs: used to compare actual values versus targets

  • Dashboards: used to collect Information Tiles and KPIs covering the same Wealth area and provide a meaningful overview of significant trends over time.

  • Pivot Reports (based on either SSAS Cubes or Datasets from the Analytics Warehouse): allow end user to slice, dice and pivot data

  • Quick Reports that displays detailed data and that can perform calculations, grouping or sorting

The tools above focus on the following areas:

  • Customer Analysis will control trends in crucial measures such as the total number of existing, new and lost customers, their associated balances and their segmentation into different customer classifications, regions, resident statuses, sectors, industries etc. If the appropriate Add-On Products are installed, profitability-related values such as Customer Monthly Net Income and predictive-related values such as Attrition Risk will also be populated within the Customer Analysis’ contents. Customer Analysis provides important insights about customer acquisition, segmentation and attrition within the bank.

  • Product Analysis looks at various metrics around accounts and contracts such as the number and balances of new, existing or lost current accounts, deposit accounts, personal loans etc. If Customer Profitability is installed, Net Income-related values will be also populated in some of the Product Analysis’ contents. Through the Product Analysis’ contents, banks will be able to oversee trends in growth or losses within retail products.

  • Transaction Analysis allows bank users to do analysis around bank transactions’ trends. For example, users will be able to monitor trends in transaction volumes and how they are distributed across channels and products.

Retail Analytics enables Retail Banks to closely monitor and analyze complex onboarding processes, increases operational efficiency and delivers a smooth user experience.

  • Frictionless user journey – complex Retail banking-related analyses are made simple through clear visuals and easy-to-use reports. The most important metrics are centralized through customizable dashboards

  • Increased Operational Efficiency – Supervisors can closely monitor employees’ and branches’ performances together with the customers and products managed by each business unit or level of the bank’s hierarchical structure.

  • Timely decisions based on accurate information – users are able to review the latest information about newly acquired or lost customers and products in order to act upon it fast

  • Increased Margins – clear and correct Retail banking data improves efficiency, transparency and makes profitable and unprofitable products and business units easier to spot

  • Personalized products – Segmentations, hierarchies and targets can be customized to meet the specific KPIs based on the bank’s requirements. The design of reports and visuals is also easy to adjust and pivot reports can be sliced and diced by bank users in real-time for tailor-made analyses
